For me New Look was all about being girly with your fashion, letting your feminine side reign over your wardrobe. I saw pretty summer florals, Topshop inspired zip-back vests and endless spring blouses that were light and airy paired with candy coloured shorts and cropped trousers. The focal point of New Look’s collection was definitely their specificity in their choices of colour. I was drawn in by a blinding array of corals, fuchsias and cherry reds, this effeminate collection was cleverly brought together by consistent injections of pink and red paired with more cooler colours such as creams or pale pastels. It was the first collection out so expectations were understandably high but I think that they definitely set the tone and the standard for the following high-street brands.
